Few days ago, I made the biggest realisation of my life. I am healing! This is indeed joyous!

Abuse is a strong word but many go through it and have no clue how to get out of the cycle it comes in many forms and many extremes, mental or physical or both.

There seems that there is so much going on in the world right now, exactly as there is being mirrored in our own individual lives, it really is getting to be a challenge keeping up with it all.

Soft or firm or noble character

We speak of a person as having "soft" or "firm," "base" or "noble" character. Though people often say, "What can I do, I am made like that," is character really static? We can mould or build our character by analyzing our emotional and moral nature. A little observation makes it clear that morals backed by strong will, play a vital role in character-building. A person of firm character is always integrated. A good moral character implies spiritual integrity.

Have you ever noticed just how much your mind is full of chatter throughout the day only to be going over the same thing time and time again and possible not finding a solution to the problem, or your mind has a habit of jumping from one thought to another that has no connection. The mind is always looking for ways to distract you from finding your centre and the hardest part is when you are unsure of knowing what you can do to stop your mind from being filled with junk. The truth is, it requires a life time of discipline to master the art.  And no, there is no need to renounce all your worldly procession then shave your head before you run off to a monastery; seeking enlightenment with a group of Monk’s who sit round and chant all day. The secret is to detach yourself from the thoughts that are not proving fruitful, try and become the observer – like you do when watching a child play or when cooking. The moment you step away from your centre, life can become crazy and it can feel like there is never enough time in the day for you to complete your daily tasks. Actually there is plenty of time in the day - always has been and always will be. I don’t know of anyone who walks round in their daily life sporting a Supper Hero outfit, and I am yet to meet one who doe’s and also processes all the super powers of the universe. The problem steam’s from trying to cram too much into one day, then stressing yourself out for the rest of the day as the clock ticks by. You all remember the Hare from Alison in Wonderland running around with the pocket watch in his hand shouting, “I’m Late I’m Late for a very important date no time to stop to say hello, goodbye, I’m late I’m late I’m Late”.

Functioning in this manner is not health and no benefits are to be gained from doing so, your heart rate will increase causing your blood pressure to rise, due to the signals being received within the brain that go into Fight mode, panic, panic, panic. Now your body is so tensed up, you are going to burn yourself out and by the end of the day feel completely drained and short tempered possible ending the day with a headache.

Have you ever felt there was something you were meant to be doing in your life, but weren’t really sure what that was?

Have you ever felt overwhelmed by the demands that life seems to make on you, and be left wondering where you have gone?

Have you ever felt life become just too much and wonder what the purpose of it all is?

Tarot Reading for Imbolc

Catherine Green

As part of my celebration for the pagan festival of Imbolc, I did a short Tarot reading. I asked for a message that was relevant to me at this time, and that would also resonate with people who are on a similar spiritual path as myself. That will be anyone who is currently finding their place in the world, who is perhaps trying something new, whether that be in their personal lives, their career, or even their family. I drew two cards; one represents the recent months of winter and the other represents the coming months of spring.
