I have discovered that our thoughts create our lives and, therefore, if we change our thoughts we can change our lives! This is also true for weight loss.

I wanted to discover what I was eating for. Was it for hunger or thirst? Was I bored or lonely? What was I filling myself up with, and what was the reasoning for me over eating? Were there physical reasons, emotional reasons or both?

Having trained in Theta healing I have learnt that our subconscious beliefs create the lives that we live today. I had never been successful in being able to achieve my ideal weight and had continued with a life time of yo-yo dieting, so I wanted to find out what the subconscious beliefs I had that were having an impact on my life.

I have had many clients with weight issues, and using the simple and easy Theta healing technique, I soon became aware of the common and not so common subconscious beliefs that affect and impact our desire for food and exercise.

How many of our beliefs come from our relatives? What is it that our mothers, fathers and role models are telling us? Mine always told me that, when you get to about 40 you get fat and, guess what, I did!

How many of our beliefs come from our past life experiences? In my subconscious mind I still believed that there was a famine, and that I had to eat lots to prepare for the time of need!

Some of my clients had the overweight gene!

Through Theta healing I have changed my beliefs to finally put an end to the cycle of yo-yo dieting. There were many that I had to work on, here are some of my new beliefs;

  • My ideal body composition is 8st 4lbs
  • I reduce my weight day by day until I reach my ideal body composition
  • I release excess fat with grace and ease
  • I take pride in my body!
  • And many more!

Looking deeper into the emotional reasons why I carry excess weight and what I have been stuffing into my body, I discovered that I didn’t know the difference between love and food, nor did I know the difference between comfort and food. Now I do!

I wanted my life back; I wanted to enjoy food without guilt or shame, and now I do! I eat with gusto and pleasure; I enjoy every mouthful and live without constantly thinking about food! Now I eat when I am hungry for food and deal with all my other emotions in the highest and best way – now I know how!

There are so many beliefs that we hold in our subconscious; we really are what we think we are and by changing these underlying beliefs, we really can change our lives for the better.
